SAYP

The Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) is a training programme that strengthens the participants’ ability to drive and implement change work within their respective organizations. The training programme includes webinars, interactive lectures, case studies, coaching and workshops to deepen and practice your knowledge in inclusive youth work and leadership. SAYP aims to provide young professionals the opportunity to contribute to development and change in their regions. As a SAYP participant, you will be able to expand your own contact networks andshare ideas, experiences and challenges with other like-minded professionals.

This SAYP programme is a collaboration between the Swedish Institute (SI) and Fryshuset Foundation in partnership with Armenian Progressive Youth (APY), responsible for developing and organising training modules. The modules rely on a mix of modern teaching methods with emphasis on interactivity, collaboration and problem-based learning.

Inclusive Leadership and Youth Work in the Eastern Partnership, 2024-2025

In 2024-2025, Fryshuset in partnership with APY offers the following SAYP programme: Inclusive Leadership and Youth Work in the Eastern Partnership. The programme is designed to strenghten the capacity of civil society organisations in the Eastern Partnership countries to develop and implement innovative solutions to youth inclusion. In a rapidly changing world, it is important to recognise changing forms of youth engagement and reasons that drive youth to participate.

The programme targets young professionals and organizations, working with and for youth, and strengthens their ability to facilitate processes that support youth, by:

  • Working with inclusive and diversity-sensitive methods
  • Providing participants with tools to facilitate youth participation in diverse settings and practices, focusing particularly on:
  1. Strengthening participants to identify and reduce obstacles to youth participation.
  2. Developing young people’s skills and competence to participate.
  3. Creating synergies between stakeholders to ensure that youth have access to resources and diverse arenas of participation.
